Journeys International announces family-focused webinar, Apr 20

April 7 2016

Journeys International announced today a FREE webinar focused specifically on family adventure travel, Adventure Travel: Transformative (and Fun!) Family Vacations, on Wednesday, April 20 from 8-9pm EDT.

In this webinar Journeys International president Robin Weber Pollak will help interested parents and grandparents understand how “family travel” and “adventure travel” go hand-in-hand. Guest speaker Chris “Chez” Chesak, Executive Director of the Family Travel Association, will also provide an overview of family travel, adventure travel, and the state of the industry. Specific topics include:

  • What are the benefits of traveling as a family?
  • What are the options for different kinds of family adventures?
  • What exactly is adventure travel?
  • What are some of the best destinations for families traveling with three (or more!) generations?
  • How are adventure travel trips for families different than trips designed just for adults?
  • What is the difference between a group tour and a custom adventure?

“With all the options available for family vacations, it can be hard to figure out the best plan for your specific group,” says Weber Pollak. “We want to help parents and grandparents feel confident planning amazing experiences for their entire families.”

The webinar will be tailored to questions received during registration, and will include at least 30 minutes for Q&A from attendees.

Register online, or by calling 800-255-8735. Even if you can’t attend April 20, submit your registration to be notified once a recorded version is available to view.

About the Speakers

Robin Weber Pollak
President, Journeys International

Since age four Robin has explored the world on Journeys adventures, traveling with her parents—the founders of Journeys—and her brother Noah. Her most epic journey: seven months on the road in Asia and the Pacific when she was 16. After college, she spent five years working in experiential education, until she realized that the greatest way to pursue her passion for crafting impactful experiences lay in her exhilarating family business. “Traveling with my parents opened my eyes to the power of travel to help people find their place in the world. I can’t wait to share this with my own son.”

Chris “Chez” Chesak
Executive Director, Family Travel Association

Chris’s wanderlust started young, as a kid traveling the country in his dad’s Volkswagon Campervan. Since then, he’s traveled the world, previously as Executive Director of the Adventure Travel Trade Association and now with Family Travel Association, a coalition of family-focused resorts, destinations, media and others—all united to help inspire families to travel more. “For all my global adventures, the most rewarding—by far—have been those that I was able to share with my two daughters: standing on the Great Wall of China, ziplining through the canopy in Costa Rica, or exploring the cenotes of Mexico.”
