Sustainable Community Grants

Each year, the Earth Preservation Fund (EPF) awards grants of $250-$10,000 to a small number of projects that travelers and reliable travel industry partners nominate for support. Through targeted contributions, the EPF aims to promote environmental sustainability and the preservation of cultural traditions.

Successful grant applications or nominations demonstrate the following criteria:

• Clear, realistic, and focused goals
• Local project leaders with hands-on involvement
• Local community members will participate in project completion
• Project goals support environmental sustainability and regeneration (with preference for simultaneous community development)
• Project involves environmental education
• Project is consistent with sustaining cultural traditions

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Applicants can expect to hear back with questions or a final response within one week.
